Ham and cheese stuffed potatoes are a cozy, hearty dish from Italian cuisine that masterfully combines simple ingredients for an exquisite taste. The tender potato, infused with nutmeg aroma, develops a golden crust after frying, while its soft center becomes airy mashed potatoes. The filling of ham and cream cheese adds richness and a hint of spiciness to the dish. Baked to perfection, it emits an appetizing aroma reminiscent of home dinners and cozy evenings. It's an ideal option for a family lunch or festive dinner when you want to blend simplicity with restaurant chic. The dish can be served with herbs and fresh vegetables to balance its rich flavor.

1
Peel the potato, cut it in half and scoop out the center, leaving walls 5 mm thick. I couldn't think of anything better than doing this with a teaspoon.
- Potato: 400 g
2
Fry the prepared cups in vegetable oil. Boil the potato core in salted water. Drain the water, season with nutmeg and oil, and mash.
- Vegetable oil: 40 ml
- Ground nutmeg: to taste
- Butter: 50 g
3
Grate the onion and finely chop the ham. Fry everything together. Mix with boiled potatoes. Stuff potato cups with the prepared mixture. Slice cheese thinly and place on top of each potato. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees. Bake the potatoes at this temperature for 20-30 minutes.
- Onion: 1 piece
- Ham: 100 g
- Cream cheese: 60 g
