Trout in soy-honey marinade
2 servings
30 minutes
Trout in soy-honey marinade is a refined dish that combines the tenderness of fish with the rich flavor of the marinade. This recipe is likely inspired by Eastern traditions where soy-honey sauces are popular for preparing fish and meat. Trout soaked in a fragrant mixture of soy sauce, floral honey, olive oil, and spices gains depth of flavor and a light caramelized crust after baking. Sesame seeds add a nutty aroma and crunchy texture. This dish is perfect for both festive dinners and cozy home gatherings, especially when paired with fresh vegetables or rice. The trout in this preparation surprises with its harmony of sweet, salty, and slightly spicy flavors, making it a true culinary masterpiece.

1
Peel the garlic and press it. Remove all bones from the fish.
- Garlic: 1 clove
2
Mix the marinade ingredients (everything except sesame seeds), place the fish pieces skin side up in it. Let the fish marinate for about 30 minutes at room temperature, or longer in the fridge.
- Soy sauce: 4 tablespoons
- Flower honey: 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil: 2 tablespoons
- Ground chili pepper: to taste
- Ground black pepper: to taste
3
Preheat the oven to 230 degrees. Turn the fish skin side down, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and bake it with the marinade for 12-15 minutes. You can skip the sesame; I think it tastes better that way.
- Trout: 200 g
- White sesame seeds: to taste
