Chicken in oranges

Chicken in oranges is an exquisite dish with light Mediterranean notes. The combination of tender chicken meat soaked in aromatic orange juice, honey, and spices creates a rich, slightly sweet flavor with spicy hints of ginger and garlic. The dish's history begins in European cuisine, where citrus fruits are often used to give meat a special tenderness and freshness. The roasted chicken is covered with a caramelized glaze, while the onion-orange mixture adds a rich texture. This versatile treat is suitable for festive gatherings and family dinners and can be served with a light salad or rice to highlight the rich flavor of the citrus marinade.

1
Wash the oranges, cut them, and squeeze juice from 2. Peel the zest from one orange and cut the ginger into small pieces.

2
Wash the chicken parts (I used drumsticks and thighs, wings can also be used), and dry them with a kitchen towel.
