Pork shashlik in kefir marinade is a juicy and aromatic dish that will enhance any picnic or feast. Kefir gently penetrates the meat fibers, making the pork surprisingly tender, while spices add a rich flavor. The onion used in the marinade not only reveals the meaty aroma but also adds a light sweetness. This marinating method is widely used in Europe, especially in eastern regions where simplicity and natural flavors are valued. Shashlik is cooked over birch coals, giving it a subtle smoky hue that transforms an ordinary meat dish into a true culinary masterpiece. It is usually served with herbs, fresh vegetables, and sauces that highlight its tenderness and juiciness.
