Wild rice in coconut sauce is a refined dish of Chinese cuisine that combines the exotic flavor of coconut with the zesty freshness of lime and ginger. Wild rice, known for its nutty aroma and tender texture, slowly absorbs the velvety coconut sauce, acquiring a rich, slightly sweet taste with a pleasant citrus tang. This dish is suitable for both everyday dinners and special occasions, surprising with its depth of flavor and ease of preparation. In China, coconut milk is often used in cooking to create delicate sauces, while ginger adds a subtle spiciness that enhances the flavor balance. Serve this aromatic rice hot, complemented by fresh vegetables or seafood to unlock its gastronomic potential.

1
Rinse wild rice in cold water and add it to boiling water, using a ratio of 1 cup of rice to 2-2.5 cups of water. Cook on low heat for about 40 minutes.
- Wild rice: 1 glass
2
Peel a piece of ginger about 3 cm, chop the tomatoes, and blend them together with lime juice and coconut milk.
- Fresh ginger: 1 piece
- Tomatoes: 2 pieces
- Lime: 1 piece
- Coconut milk: 400 ml
3
Place the cooked rice (grains have softened and slightly opened) in a hot skillet with a little olive oil. Pour in the prepared coconut sauce, add salt, and simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes. The rice will gradually absorb the sauce and open up even more.
