Quick fajitas are a vibrant dish of Mexican cuisine that embodies its passion for rich flavors and fresh ingredients. Its roots trace back to the traditions of working ranches where meat was grilled over an open flame and served with aromatic vegetables. In this recipe, beef steak is marinated in a citrus sauce with jalapeños and spices that add zest and tenderness. Sautéed peppers and onions add juiciness while cilantro refreshes the composition. The key is to slice the meat thinly against the grain to keep it tender and flavorful. Fajitas are eaten by wrapping the filling in warm tortillas; guacamole, sour cream, or cheese can be added. This is an ideal option for fun gatherings with friends where everyone assembles their perfect roll while enjoying a variety of flavors and textures.
