Cod and potato meatballs are a delicious and tender dish inspired by Russian culinary traditions. Its roots trace back to the northern regions of Russia, where fish has always been an important part of the diet. Baked potatoes and turnips add a pleasant sweetness to the dish, while butter contributes creaminess and richness of flavor. Cod, with its delicate taste, harmonizes well with onions and spices, creating a light and tender texture. The crispy breadcrumb crust makes each meatball appetizing and adds expressiveness. Meatballs are perfect for both everyday dinners and festive gatherings. They can be served with green salad, fresh vegetables, or a light sour cream-based sauce. This dish warms the soul and delights the palate.
