Salt, pepper, herbs, lemon, half an hour of time - that's all you need to bring mackerel to combat readiness. Here is a recipe that helps to reduce the hassle to a minimum, and get maximum pleasure from the result.

Slice the onion into thin half-rings, squeeze the juice from 1 lemon, and mix it with the onion.
- Onion: 1 head
- Lemon: 2 pieces

Make shallow cuts on the fish's skin.
- Fresh mackerel: 3 pieces

Salt and pepper the mackerel inside and out.
