Lemon compote is a refreshing drink with a pronounced citrus flavor, perfect for hot days. Its origins can be traced back to Mediterranean cuisine, where lemons have long been valued for their ability to add freshness and lightness to any dish. The sweet-sour combination of lemon juice and sugar syrup, complemented by delicate notes of mint and vanilla, creates a refined and invigorating taste. This compote can be served chilled as a wonderful alternative to traditional lemonades or warm to enjoy its soft aromas. It pairs well with light snacks, desserts, and even stands alone as a drink for cozy evenings. Due to its simplicity in preparation and natural ingredients, lemon compote remains one of the favorite drinks among fans of natural fruit flavors.

1
Wash the lemons with hot water, then peel them. Cut the fruits into large pieces on a plate so that the juice remains in it (it will be useful for compote).
- Lemon: 1.5 piece
2
Boil water in a suitably sized enamel container. Pour sugar into the boiling water, stir, and prepare the syrup.
3
Place the lemon in syrup and add the juice. Boil the compote for fifteen minutes at a gentle simmer.
- Lemon: 1.5 piece
4
5 minutes before the drink is ready, add washed mint leaves to the pot and add vanillin.
- Mint: 4 stems
- Vanilla: pinch
