Pour pomegranate juice and water into a pot and place it on high heat.
- Pomegranate juice: 1 l
- Water: 250 ml

Grate the orange zest and squeeze the juice. You can use the whole peel, but it may add excessive bitterness to the drink.
- Oranges: 1 piece

Add all the ingredients to the pot.
- Cinnamon: 2 pieces
- Carnation: 10 pieces
- Black allspice: 6 pieces
- Anise (star anise): 2 pieces
- Bay leaf: 3 pieces

Once the liquid boils, remove from heat, cover with a lid, and let it steep for 30-60 minutes. After that, strain and reheat if necessary.
