Carrot cutlets with apples

Carrot patties with apples are a tender and aromatic dish of Ukrainian cuisine that harmoniously combines sweet carrots with the light acidity of apples. In the past, it was prepared as an affordable and healthy meal, especially popular in rural areas. Carrots are stewed in milk, gaining softness and rich flavor, while semolina adds texture. Breadcrumbs and egg bind the ingredients together, creating a delicate yet firm consistency. The green apple adds fresh, refreshing notes that balance the sweetness of the carrots. Fried in butter, the patties develop a golden crust and appetizing aroma. They can be served as a standalone dish or alongside sour cream. Their lightness and health benefits make this recipe an ideal choice for breakfast or a light dinner.

1
Grate the carrot on a coarse grater, place it in a pan with melted butter, pour in milk and simmer until cooked.
- Carrot: 300 g
- Butter: to taste
- Milk: 60 ml

Then add semolina, sugar, and salt.
