Whole grain oatmeal is a hearty and nutritious dish of British cuisine, known for its simplicity and benefits. Historically, oatmeal was a staple in the diet of British farmers, providing them with energy for hard work. Its flavor is mild with nutty notes, especially when adding cold-pressed flaxseed oil. With its gentle and creamy consistency, it is easily digestible and offers a sense of comfort. Oatmeal is great for breakfast or a light dinner, especially on cool days. This dish not only warms but also nourishes the body with fiber, improving digestion. If desired, the flavor can be enhanced by adding honey, berries or nuts to create the perfect balance between health and pleasure.
