Mannik on kefir and butter

Semolina cake with kefir and butter is a tender and airy pie with a rich creamy flavor and a slight tang from the kefir. Although its roots are often linked to Slavic cuisine, it fits well into Spanish traditions where simple yet rich desserts are valued. The semolina soaked in kefir makes the dough soft and porous, while the butter gives it a silky texture. This cake is perfect for breakfast or a cozy tea time, especially when paired with fruits, cinnamon, or vanilla. The semolina cake is easy to prepare and doesn't require rare ingredients, and its aroma while baking fills the home with warmth and comfort.

1
Pour kefir over the semolina and let it sit for 10 minutes to swell a little.
- Kefir: 0.5 l
- Semolina: 2 glasss
2
Then add eggs, butter, sugar, and any fruits (banana, kiwi, apple), vanilla, or cinnamon. Blend everything together. If adding kiwi or apples, it's better not to blend them, but to add them in pieces to the form.
- Chicken egg: 3 pieces
- Butter: 150 g
- Sugar: 1 glass
3
Preheat the oven to 150 degrees.
4
Bake for 30–40 minutes. After taking the pie out of the oven, let it cool for a bit.
