Vodka doughnuts are a refined version of traditional doughnuts made in Russian cuisine. This light, crispy treat has an airy structure and thin golden layers of dough generously sprinkled with powdered sugar. Vodka plays an important role in the recipe—it gives the dough a special fragility and airiness, making the doughnuts tender yet crispy. The dish has roots in home baking prepared for festive gatherings and family meetings. Its uniqueness lies in the simplicity of ingredients and ease of preparation. Doughnuts are perfect for serving with hot tea or coffee, creating a cozy atmosphere. Their taste combines the sweetness of powdered sugar with the delicate, crispy texture of the dough, providing unforgettable pleasure in every bite.

1
Mix the egg with vodka and salt, add flour by eye (the dough should be like for dumplings and needs to be kneaded well). Put the dough in a bag and then in the fridge overnight.
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Vodka: 1 tablespoon
- Salt: pinch
- Wheat flour: 200 g
2
Cut a small piece from the dough and roll it out well. Cut into strips, making cuts on the edges of each strip (to resemble a Christmas tree).
3
Place the strips in a preheated skillet over medium heat and fry for just 10-15 seconds on each side.
4
Let the pastry cool and sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
- Powdered sugar: 3 tablespoons
