Baked Onion Rings

Oven-baked onion rings are a modern alternative to classic fast food from American cuisine. Sweet, juicy onion rings coated in a crispy golden crust of crushed chips make for the perfect snack with any dish. They crunch pleasantly, and their flavor balances between the light spiciness of the spices and the tenderness of the yogurt batter. Unlike traditional deep-fried options, this recipe allows you to enjoy your favorite treat without excess oil. Baked rings pair excellently with various sauces, whether it's classic ketchup, spicy cheese dip, or refreshing yogurt sauce with herbs. They are perfect for a party or a cozy family dinner, adding a touch of comfort and pleasure to every moment.

1
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. In a large bowl, mix 1/4 cup of flour, 0.5 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon of red pepper. In a medium bowl, mix yogurt, eggs, and 0.5 cup + 2 tablespoons of flour. Whisk until a smooth batter forms.

Place the prepared rings on a baking sheet and bake each side for about 8 minutes until golden brown.
5
Sprinkle with salt while the onion rings are still hot. Serve with any interesting sauce. You can mix regular yogurt with spices.
