Lenten spicy ginger cookies are the embodiment of aroma and coziness in Russian cuisine. Their history roots back to traditional recipes for lenten baking, where skilled housewives created sweets without eggs and milk. Golden, crispy, with the piquant spice of ginger, cinnamon, and cloves, they envelop everyone who tries them in warmth. The subtle aroma of honey gives them a refined sweetness, while the slight bitterness of spices makes the taste rich and complex. These cookies are the perfect companion to a cup of hot tea or coffee and a wonderful treat for holidays and cozy home evenings.
