Lemon-orange cake is a fragrant and tender dessert that embodies the sunny warmth of citrus fruits. Its roots trace back to Russian cuisine, where baked goods have always been an important part of tea time. Lemon adds a light tartness, while orange brings a sweet, fresh aroma. Butter makes the texture soft and airy, and the soak of citrus juice and powdered sugar adds juiciness. This cake is perfect for a cozy family breakfast or a festive table. It can be decorated with icing or zest or enjoyed in its natural flavor. With every bite, you feel a vibrant mix of flavors, balancing sweetness and tartness that turns an ordinary day into a true celebration.
