Kefir buns are a cozy and delicate treat from Russian cuisine. They have a soft, airy texture and a light sour milk aroma that makes them particularly pleasant to taste. Thanks to the kefir, the dough is tender and slightly sweet, while the addition of sesame or sugar gives the buns a special charm. These buns pair wonderfully with tea, coffee, or warm milk, creating an atmosphere of home comfort. They are often made for breakfast or served at dinner, especially in cold weather. The buns can be used as a base for sandwiches and served with jam, honey, or condensed milk. The simplicity of preparation and availability of ingredients make this recipe a favorite among many housewives.
