A simple jam cake is a cozy and aromatic dessert that comes from traditional European cuisine. Its roots trace back to old home baking recipes where jam served not only as a sweet filling but also as a way to preserve summer fruits. The cake has a tender, soft texture with a subtle caramel note due to sugar and baking powder. The jam adds a pleasant fruity tartness to the bake, while the grated frozen dough creates a crispy crust that contrasts with the softness of the inner layer. An ideal choice for a cozy tea time, this pie is easy to prepare and will become a favorite treat for the whole family.

1
Beat the eggs with sugar. Grate the margarine into the same bowl using a coarse grater and add the baking powder. Knead the dough, adding flour until it doesn't stick to your hands. When the dough is ready, divide one third into small balls and place in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- Chicken egg: 2 pieces
- Sugar: 1 glass
- Margarine: 100 g
- Baking powder: 1 teaspoon
- Wheat flour: to taste
2
In these 30 minutes, grease the baking tray with margarine, roll out the remaining dough into an even layer, and spread jam on it (so that the dough is not visible). Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

- Jam: to taste
3
Grate the frozen dough balls on a coarse grater over the baking tray, evenly covering the entire pie.
