Flourless Nut Cookies with Cardamom

Nutty cardamom cookies without flour are a fragrant and delicate treat born from European baking traditions. They combine a rich nutty flavor with the exotic spice of cardamom, creating a warm, slightly spicy, and enveloping aroma. The addition of cocoa gives the baked goods a subtle chocolate note, while powdered sugar with cinnamon completes the profile with caramel sweetness. These cookies are perfect for a cozy family tea time or as an exquisite complement to coffee. Their lack of flour gives them a unique texture—slightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. This treat will appeal to those who appreciate natural ingredients and the richness of flavor nuances.

1
Chop the nuts in a blender bowl.
- Nuts: 300 g
2
Beat the egg with sugar.
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Sugar: 70 g
3
Combine with nuts.
- Nuts: 300 g
4
Add spices and cocoa. I add cardamom seeds whole. If you don't want them in the finished cookies, it's better to grind them in a mortar. I don't recommend using ground cardamom — the effect is completely different.
- Cardamom pods: 5 piece
- Ground cinnamon: 0.5 teaspoon
- Cocoa powder: 1 tablespoon
5
Form small balls from the dough.
6
Coat them in powdered sugar. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Powdered sugar with cinnamon: to taste
7
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Bake the cookies for 15 minutes.
