Sour cream cookies are a cozy treat from Russian cuisine, where sour cream is a key ingredient in many recipes. Tender and slightly crumbly, they have a soft texture and a delicate creamy-sweet flavor. The addition of sour sour cream gives the baked goods a special lightness. These cookies are easy to make: the dough is rolled out, circles are cut out, stacked on top of each other, and baked until golden brown. They can be decorated with powdered sugar or chocolate glaze, turning them into a real treat for tea. They are perfect for cozy family evenings or friendly gatherings, reminding one of the taste of childhood and home warmth. The simplicity of the recipe makes it accessible even for beginner cooks.

1
Mix flour with baking soda. In another bowl, whip sour cream (you can use sour) with sugar. Gradually add flour, knead a thick but not stiff dough (if the dough is too soft after adding 2 cups of flour, add another 0.5-1 cup of flour).
- Wheat flour: 2 glasss
- Soda: 0.5 teaspoon
- Sour cream: 1 jar
- Sugar: 0.5 glass
2
Divide the prepared dough into 2 parts. Roll each part into a sheet 0.5 cm thick. Cut out circles with a glass. Stack the circles on top of each other so that there are 2 pieces on each circle.
3
Place on a baking sheet greased with oil. Put in a preheated oven at 200-210 degrees (better in the upper part of the oven). Bake for 10-15 minutes until lightly browned.
