Straws are an exquisite dessert of European cuisine that combines airy puff pastry with delicate meringue cream. The history of this treat dates back to ancient confectionery traditions where lightness and sweetness were the main components of desserts. The crispy pastry, baked to a golden hue, becomes the perfect shell for the soft cream that melts in your mouth, leaving a pleasant tang of citric acid. This dessert is perfect for a cozy tea time or festive table, adding a touch of sophistication to any meal. Straws are not just a sweet treat but a symbol of the confectioner's skill, harmonizing textures and flavors. They can be served as an independent dessert or complemented with fresh berries and chocolate crumbs.
