The pie-vatrushka is a wonderful combination of tender cottage cheese cream and airy dough infused with the aroma of butter and cherries. This recipe originates from European culinary tradition, combining elements of classic vatrushka and pie. The rich texture of the cottage cheese filling gives the pastry a special softness, while the light tartness of the cherries adds a subtle piquancy. It is perfect as a cozy home dessert that pairs well with a cup of hot tea or coffee.
