A simple apple roll is a cozy treat that embodies the traditions of European baking. Its roots trace back to home kitchens where simplicity meets exquisite flavor. The delicate cottage cheese dough, infused with buttery margarine, creates a soft yet crispy shell for sweet apples with subtle hints of cinnamon. Light caramelization of sugar during baking enhances the fruity aroma, making the roll a perfect complement to a cup of hot tea or coffee. Due to its simplicity, this dish is suitable for cozy home evenings or festive treats. It pairs wonderfully with ice cream, sour cream frosting, or even a light honey sauce, adding new flavor nuances. This roll not only delights the taste but also carries a sense of warmth and family comfort.

1
Mix the cottage cheese with softened margarine and gradually add sifted flour to knead the dough. It should be soft, elastic, and easily come off your hands. Roll into 4 balls, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30-40 minutes for better rolling.
- Margarine: 250 g
- Soft cottage cheese: 250 g
- Wheat flour: 3 glasss
2
Peel the apples and cut them into small slices. Besides apples, you can add raisins to the filling. I soak the raisins in Jägermeister liqueur beforehand, then dry them with a paper towel and place them inside with the apples.
- Apple: 5 piece

Dust the table with flour and roll out the dough quite thinly. Arrange the apples, sprinkle sugar on top (don't overdo it, the apples will become sweet when baked) and cinnamon, and roll it up. Line a baking tray with parchment paper, place the apple rolls on the tray. Bake the apple rolls in an oven preheated to 170–180 degrees for 45–50 minutes.
- Wheat flour: 3 glasss
- Sugar: 1 glass
- Ground cinnamon: 1 tablespoon

Slightly cool the roll and slice it.
