Jam-filled cupcakes are a delicate treat of European cuisine, where classic dough is complemented by sweet fruit filling. Their history traces back to old home recipes, where baked goods with surprises inside symbolized care and warmth. The taste of these cupcakes is harmonious: light vanilla dough enriched with fragrant lemon zest gently contrasts with the rich sweetness of the jam. They are perfect for morning coffee or evening tea, creating a cozy atmosphere and enjoyment in every bite. Due to their simplicity in preparation and the possibility to experiment with fillings, these cupcakes have become a favorite dessert in home cookbooks. They can be served as a standalone dessert or decorated with powdered sugar and fresh berries for an exquisite treat.
