Sour cream jelly with berries is a delicate and refreshing dessert inspired by Russian culinary traditions. Its roots trace back to a time when sour cream was used in various sweet dishes for its mild tang and rich flavor. In this recipe, a thick sour cream base combines with fruit jelly to create a light, airy texture. Berries add freshness and natural sweetness, while honey or sugar helps balance the taste. This dessert is perfect for summer days when you crave something cool and not too heavy. Easy to prepare, it will adorn any table, whether it's a family dinner or a festive feast. Each spoonful melts in your mouth, leaving a pleasant sensation of lightness and fruity freshness.

1
We will start preparing the jelly according to the instructions, but we will take half the amount of water required. For example, I needed to pour 1 packet (50 g) with a cup of water since 2 packets (100 g) require 2 cups of water, and we need half as much; therefore, we pour 100 g of jelly with 1 cup of cold water.
- Jelly: 100 g
- Sour cream: 250 g
- Fresh berries: to taste

Next, following the instructions, I let it sit for 40 minutes, then brought it to a boil, stirring continuously.
3
We let the mixture cool, meanwhile we place berries or fruits at the bottom of the container where the dessert will be served (I placed a few strawberries from the jam).
4
Add a little cooled liquid, honey/sugar/powdered sugar (optional, the jelly is sweet enough) to the sour cream and whip everything together.
- Sour cream: 250 g
- Honey: to taste
- Sugar: to taste
