Coconut Candies with Raisins

Coconut candies with raisins are a delicate dessert born from simple yet harmonious ingredients. The base is condensed milk, which provides creamy sweetness, while coconut flakes add an exotic texture and subtle nutty aroma. Raisins hidden inside each candy reveal an unexpected sweet-and-sour note that complements the overall flavor. These candies are easy to make; they require no baking and delight with their lightness. They are perfect for a cozy tea time or as a quick treat for guests. The simplicity of the recipe allows for experimentation with fillings – instead of raisins, nuts, berries, or even chocolate pieces can be used. Coconut candies carry the warmth of homemade treats and a touch of tropical freshness.

1
We take a can of condensed milk (I, for example, managed to find Belarusian condensed milk, which I am incredibly happy about) and a 200 g bag of coconut flakes.
- Condensed milk: 1 jar
- Coconut flakes: 200 g
2
Mix thoroughly and refrigerate for 1.5 to 2 hours.
3
After that, we pour some dry coconut flakes into a deep plate.
- Coconut flakes: 200 g
4
Next, we choose the filling. Here we let our imagination run wild: any nuts, dried fruits... (in this case, my imagination reached the skies, but my hands only reached the raisins).
- Raisin: 30 pieces
5
We take a small piece of coconut-condensed mass with a teaspoon, roll it slightly to form a ball shape, and flatten it to make a patty.
- Coconut flakes: 200 g
6
We place the filling we defined in the center of the flatbread, fold the edges towards the center, and roll it between our palms until we get a ball, which we coat in coconut flakes.
- Raisin: 30 pieces
- Coconut flakes: 200 g
