Honey-lemon bagels are an exquisite combination of sweet honey and refreshing lemon, encased in a golden crispy crust. This recipe traces back to Russian culinary traditions, where baked goods play an important role in the warmth of the home. The airy dough infused with citrus and honey creates a wonderful balance of flavors: the light tartness of lemon complements the rich sweetness of honey, while the delicate texture makes the bagels incredibly appetizing. They can be served with tea or coffee, complemented by honey or fruit jam. They are perfect for family breakfasts as well as festive treats. These bagels are a true delight for lovers of refined desserts that combine simplicity in preparation with rich flavor.
