Sour cream mousse with berries is a delicate and airy dessert from elegant French cuisine. This recipe embodies the harmony of creamy flavor's lightness and the freshness of berries, creating a perfect meal finale. The base is sour cream with a mild tang that pairs wonderfully with fruit jelly, giving the dessert a firm texture. Berries add natural sweetness and juiciness, turning each spoonful into refined delight. This dessert not only pleases the palate but also looks appealing, and its preparation doesn't require complex culinary skills. Sour cream mousse is ideal for a light summer treat, a romantic evening, or simply a cozy moment over a cup of tea.

1
We will start preparing the jelly according to the instructions, but we will take half the amount of water required. For example, I needed to pour 1 packet (50 g) with a glass of water since 2 packets (100 g) require 2 glasses of water, and we need half as much, so we pour 100 g of jelly with 1 glass of cold water.
- Fruit jelly: 100 g
2
Next, following the instructions, I let it sit for 40 minutes, then brought it to a boil, stirring continuously.
3
We let the mixture cool, meanwhile, we place berries or fruits at the bottom of the container where the dessert will be served (I placed a few strawberries from the jam).
- Fresh berries: to taste
4
Add a little cooled liquid, honey/sugar/powdered sugar (optional, the jelly is sweet enough) to the sour cream and whip everything together.
- Sour cream: 250 g
5
Pour into a container with fruits/berries and place in the refrigerator for an hour or two until fully set.
