Old-fashioned apple pie is a cozy embodiment of Russian traditions, easy to make yet incredibly delicious. Its history traces back to the home baking of our grandmothers when fresh apples and simple ingredients turned into a culinary wonder. The tender dough soaked in butter envelops caramelized apples, creating a balance of sweetness and slight tartness. After baking, the pie acquires a golden crust, and powdered sugar adds a touch of airy tenderness. It is served warm, enjoying the aroma of fresh apples and butter. This pie is perfect as a standalone treat or an accompaniment to tea, evoking memories of home comfort and the warmth of family evenings.
