Fish pie with liquid dough is a cozy dish of Russian cuisine that impresses with its simplicity and rich flavor. Its roots go back to the traditions of home baking, where quick and hearty recipes are especially valued. The tender dough based on sour cream and mayonnaise creates a soft, slightly moist texture that perfectly complements the filling of canned fish, potatoes, and onions. During baking, all ingredients combine into a harmonious blend of flavors – moderately salty with a slight tang and the aroma of baked dough. This pie is easy to prepare and suitable for a casual family dinner or as a treat for tea. It can be served hot or chilled – in either case, it remains just as appetizing and tender.
