Gingerbread men with honey are a charming treat from Austrian cuisine. These fragrant cookies with a rich flavor of honey, cinnamon, and ginger create an atmosphere of coziness and celebration. Their history dates back to medieval Europe, where spices symbolized wealth and were available only to the elite. Today, these shaped cookies are a favorite dessert for Christmas and family celebrations. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, they pair wonderfully with hot tea or cocoa. With their fun human shape, they are often used to decorate festive tables or gifts.
