Heart-shaped cookies with jam are a delicate treat with a crispy crust and sweet filling, infused with the spirit of home comfort. This recipe has roots in Jewish cuisine, where baking often reflects the warmth of family traditions. Cookies filled with aromatic jam symbolize love and care, making them an ideal dessert for holidays and special occasions. The dough made with milk and butter is soft and elastic, and the preparation process adds an element of magic: the dough is submerged in water and then rises, ready for further work. Baked cookies are decorated with chocolate glaze, creating an exquisite appearance and enriching the flavor. These cookies pair wonderfully with tea or coffee, becoming a cozy and sweet moment in everyday life.

1
Knead the dough, dust with flour, and place it in a new, hole-free bag!!!
- Wheat flour: 4 glasss
- Sugar: 2 tablespoons
- Salt: 0.5 teaspoon
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Soda: pinch
- Butter: 100 g
- Milk: 1 glass
- Dry yeast: 10 g
2
Release all the air and tie it as close to the handles of the bag as possible, then place it in a container with cold water - I use a large pot or even a bucket.
3
The dough packet should sink! When it floats up, you can take it out and work with it. Good dough for any pastries with any filling; if the filling is salty, use less sugar in the dough.
4
Then you take a mold — I made one from a plastic bottle, cut out a circle, and with a stapler made a big heart and a tiny one for the windows.

I cut out hearts, spread jam on them, placed a second heart with windows on top, brushed it with egg, and attached the small hearts cut from the windows on top.
- Chicken egg: 1 piece
- Sugar: 2 tablespoons
- Butter: 100 g
- Wheat flour: 4 glasss
- Soda: pinch

Bakes very quickly, in about 10-15 minutes — I also added chocolate glaze on top later.
