Break the cinnamon stick into large pieces.
- Cinnamon sticks: 1 piece

Chop the clove roughly.
- Carnation: 8 pieces

Boil water in a large saucepan.
- Water: 1.5 l

Add spices and boil for 2 minutes over medium heat.
- Ground cardamom: 1 teaspoon
- Ground ginger: 1 teaspoon
- Ground fennel seeds: 1 teaspoon

Add tea leaves and boil for another minute.

Then reduce the heat to low and cook for another 5 minutes.
