Chicken pancake envelopes are a tender and hearty dish of Russian cuisine, combining the softness of thin pancakes with the rich flavor of chicken filling. Traditionally, these pancakes were made during Maslenitsa, but they can also be found in everyday menus. Juicy chicken stewed in cream and seasoned with herbs and egg gives the filling a creamy texture and rich taste. Mayonnaise adds a light spiciness, while sour cream provides softness and freshness. These envelopes are perfect for a cozy family dinner or festive table; they can be served as a standalone dish or alongside a salad. This universal treat brings warmth and homely comfort.
