Lacums made with milk are airy, golden, and delicate pastries that resemble sweet clouds. This treat traces back to European culinary traditions where dough enriched with milk and butter gains softness and rich flavor. Lacums, with a slight hint of sweetness, pair perfectly with morning coffee or evening tea. They are prepared by frying in hot oil, giving them an appetizing crust while remaining surprisingly soft inside. The simplicity of the ingredients makes them accessible, while the rich taste is unforgettable. Traditionally, lacums are served fresh, dusted with powdered sugar or with jam. This treat is perfect for a cozy family breakfast or festive gatherings.
