Speedy roll-ups are a simple and elegant pastry from Russian cuisine that combines ease of preparation with rich flavor. Their history is rooted in home cooking traditions, where hostesses aimed to create quick yet tasty desserts for tea. The thin dough made with sparkling water turns out airy and crispy, while the sweet jam filling adds a pleasant sweet-sour note to the roll-ups. They are perfect for cozy family evenings, friendly gatherings, or just as a quick treat with tea. Serving them slightly cooled allows you to enjoy the crispy texture of the dough combined with the softness of the filling — an ideal delight for lovers of simple and fragrant pastries.
