Tortuga is a delicate and aromatic dessert soaked in rich creamy filling and cocoa. Its name refers to the island of pirates, possibly hinting at its exotic taste and rich texture. The base of the cake consists of airy layers made with kefir, making it especially soft and porous. The cream made from milk, cocoa, and butter gives it richness and velvetiness. This dessert is perfect for cozy family tea times or festive events where one wants to enjoy homemade baked goods with deep flavors. The decoration of the cake can vary by adding nuts, fruits, or grated chocolate, making it even more appealing and appetizing.
