Tiropita is a traditional Greek pie that combines the tenderness of flaky pastry with a rich cheese flavor. The name comes from the Greek words 'τυρί' (cheese) and 'πίτα' (pie), highlighting its main characteristic. The main ingredients are feta cheese and hard cheese, which add zest and richness to the dish. Combined with eggs and milk, the filling becomes creamy and airy. Baked in the oven until golden brown, tiropita acquires a crispy texture and appetizing aroma. It is served as an appetizer, light snack, or full meal, often accompanied by fresh vegetables and herbs. Tiropita is loved in Greece for its simplicity of preparation and rich taste, as well as its ability to retain tenderness even after cooling.
