Cherry and candied fruit cookies are a refined dessert of European cuisine that combines the tenderness of almonds, the sweetness of honey, and the bright tartness of cherries. The origins of this recipe trace back to home baking traditions where the combination of nuts and fruits creates a unique harmony of flavors. The shortcrust pastry soaked in a honey-cream base becomes crispy after baking, while pieces of cherries and candied fruits add juiciness. The finishing touch is chocolate icing that turns each cookie into a small work of art. Perfect with a cup of aromatic coffee or tea and as an elegant gift. These cookies not only delight with their taste but also bring an atmosphere of coziness and warmth.
