Orange cookies with walnuts are a refined blend of Italian culinary tradition and warm citrus notes. Such recipes are believed to have emerged in Mediterranean cuisine due to a love for nuts and fruits that impart a special aroma to baked goods. The crumbly and tender shortcrust pastry, infused with the sweetness of orange jam and the sophistication of liqueur, creates the perfect base for the nut layer. Walnuts give the cookies a rich flavor and pleasant texture, while the final touch – chocolate corners – make them truly festive. These cookies pair perfectly with coffee or tea, filling moments with coziness and elegance.
