Caramelized walnuts in balsamic vinegar are a refined treat with an exquisite balance of sweetness and tanginess. This recipe is rooted in Russian culinary traditions, where caramelizing nuts gives them a crunchy texture and rich flavor. Balsamic vinegar adds a light spiciness that highlights the sweetness of the sugar glaze. These nuts perfectly complement cheese platters, salads, and desserts, and can also serve as an elegant snack on their own. They can be used as a decoration for baked goods or served with tea to enjoy their rich, multifaceted taste. This recipe is simple to prepare but its result invariably impresses and makes any gathering special.
