Chocolate flan with cane sugar is an exquisite dessert of French cuisine that combines the rich taste of dark chocolate with the caramel sweetness of natural sugar. Its history traces back to traditional French custards, but this version has a unique texture — it is both delicate and slightly gooey inside. Each spoonful reveals a deep chocolate aroma, while a light hint of cane sugar adds a refined aftertaste. This flan is perfect for finishing a romantic dinner or a cozy evening with a cup of coffee. It is quick to prepare: chocolate and butter are melted, mixed with beaten eggs, then flour and salt are added. After baking, the flan acquires an enticing structure while remaining soft inside. It can be served with fruits or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
