A pie made from shortcrust pastry with green apples is a classic American dessert that combines the crispness of the crust and the tenderness of the fragrant apple filling. Its roots trace back to traditional American baking recipes, where apples have long been considered a symbol of home comfort. The filling made from green apples acquires a pleasant tartness, highlighting the sweetness of the crust. The addition of cinnamon and nutmeg makes the flavor warm and spicy, while nuts add a light crunch. This pie is perfect for cozy evenings with a cup of tea or as a festive treat. It is served warm, complemented by a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of thick cream.
