Lazy dumplings with cherry sauce

Thaw the cherries and pour half of the juice into a glass.
- Frozen cherries: 200 g

Add sugar to the cherries and place the pot on low heat, stirring constantly until it boils.

Dissolve the starch in the juice and pour it over the cherries, stirring until thickened, then remove from heat. Keep warm until serving.
- Cornstarch: 1 teaspoon

In a bowl, mash the cottage cheese well with a fork, add flour, sugar, nutmeg, and mix.
- Cottage cheese: 180 g
- Wheat flour: 3 tablespoons
- Sugar: 4 tablespoons
- Nutmeg: pinch

Add the egg and continue mixing with a fork, gathering the mass into a ball.
- Chicken egg: 1 piece

Depending on the consistency, add 1 or 2 tablespoons of sour cream.
- Sour cream 20%: 2 tablespoons

The cottage cheese mass should be soft but hold its shape.

In a small pot, bring water to a boil and add salt.

Use a dessert spoon to take the cottage cheese dough and, pressing the spoon against the bowl's wall, quickly form oval dumplings.

Immediately drop them into boiling water and cook for 2-3 minutes.

It's more convenient to boil 5-6 pieces at a time, not all at once, to prevent the dumplings from sticking.
