Pear and Cheese Tart
4 servings
45 minutes
Pear and cheese tart is an exquisite dish of French cuisine that embodies a harmony of flavors. The crispy puff pastry serves as an elegant base for sweet pears gently caramelized with honey and the savory English Stilton cheese, adding richness and depth of flavor. This combination creates a unique gastronomic palette—sweet, salty, and slightly spicy. Historically, such tarts were prepared as quick snacks for wines in provincial French homes. Today, the tart is perfect for both cozy dinners and elegant buffets.

1
Thaw the dough. Take one sheet, simply place it on the baking tray and cut around the perimeter (not all the way through) with a knife.
- Yeast puff pastry: 200 g
2
Pour honey over the dough or simply spoon it on.
- Honey: to taste
3
Place thinly grated pear on top of the honey and randomly arrange the cheese.
- Pears: 1 piece
- Stilton cheese: to taste
4
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, place the dough inside, and start checking after 20 minutes. When it turns a nice color, take it out of the oven. Wait a bit and serve.
