Puree made from fresh berries is a delicate and aromatic treat that embodies the richness of Russian cuisine. Since ancient times, berries have played an important role in the diet of Slavs due to their natural sweetness and vitamin value. This puree has a rich flavor that depends on the chosen berries—be it strawberries, raspberries, wild strawberries, or black currants. It is perfect for consumption fresh and also serves as a base for desserts, drinks, or sauces. Adding sugar softens and harmonizes the taste of the puree. Storing in sealed bottles allows you to enjoy the natural berry freshness even months after preparation. This simple yet exquisite recipe evokes memories of warm summer days and home coziness.

1
Ripe strawberries, wild strawberries, raspberries, or black currants should be cleaned of stems, washed in cold water, allowed to drain, then passed through a fine sieve into a porcelain or enamel dish and sugar added.
- Berry puree: 1 glass
- Sugar: 400 g
2
Mix the puree well, place it in a cold place for 5-6 hours, stirring occasionally to help the sugar dissolve faster.
3
Pour the puree into clean bottles and seal with corks boiled in water. If the puree is intended for long-term storage, it is recommended to seal the necks of the bottles with sealing wax or wax. Store the bottles with puree in a cool place.
