Lemon jam is a refined treat with a delicate balance of sweet and sour flavors infused with the aroma of sunny citrus. This dish comes from Russian cuisine, where jams traditionally hold an important place on the table, accompanying tea time with cozy conversations. Lemon jam not only has a bright taste but also beneficial properties since lemons are rich in vitamin C. During cooking, the fruits lose their natural acidity and gain a soft sweetness with a slight bitterness. The thick syrup soaks the lemon pieces, turning them into transparent amber slices. This jam can be served with tea, used in baking, or as a sweet addition to morning toast. It warms you up, awakens you and brings comfort like a ray of sunshine on a rainy day.
