Onion pie on puff pastry is a cozy and heartfelt dish of European cuisine, easy to prepare but rich in flavors. Its roots go back to the traditions of homemade pies where onion played a key role in adding sweetness and richness to the filling. In this version, the puff pastry serves as a crispy base while soft caramelized onions combine with a delicate cheese-egg sauce. The creamy taste of melted cheese complements the light spiciness of black pepper, creating a harmony of textures and aromas. This pie is perfect for a cozy family dinner and can be served hot or cold while retaining its rich flavor. Simple yet elegant, it can easily become a favorite recipe on your table.
