Korzhiki are a simple yet incredibly delicious dessert from European cuisine. Their history dates back centuries when such baked goods served as quick and nutritious snacks for travelers and children. Tender, slightly crumbly with a light creamy taste – they evoke the coziness of home and childhood. The combination of sour cream, sugar, and butter makes them soft, while the egg and baking soda add lightness. These korzhiki are perfect as a standalone treat or an accompaniment to tea, coffee, or milk. They can be served with jam, honey or simply enjoyed for their original flavor. The simplicity of preparation makes them accessible even for novice cooks, and the aroma of fresh baking instantly creates a cozy atmosphere at home.
